L'Ile-Rousse is a highly touristic destination on the water front of Balagne. The seaside town established in the 18th century by Pascal Paoli, the nation’s historic heroe, has been named because of its golden granite rocks located behind the port just outside the city.

The Tour de France 2013 celebrates 100 years and is for the first time in its history is starting in the Beauty Island .There are 3 stages in the program the 29th and 30th of June and 1st of July.
For the second stage between Bastia and Ajaccio and as for the third between Ajaccio and Calvi the hotel restaurant La Pietra is in priviledged position and will allow you to join the best places to see the event in only 30 mn.
