L’Ile Rousse... a wonderful playground
To discover from our hotel and restaurant
Corsican nature, shaped by the harsh climate that gives it its sometimes harsh and wild physiognomy, is perfect for simple, easy activities or more sporty and adventurous pursuits (always following health and safety protocol, naturally). You can do practically any activity. First of all, there’s the town where you’re staying, which you can discover as soon as you leave La Pietra and its island location. The fine sandy beach in the town centre is not the least of its assets, and a testimony to the links that tie us to the Mediterranean, the cradle to many a civilisation. Then there’s the Place Paoli with its shady terraces and boules grounds, which will allow you to enjoy the simple way of life here. The shaded streets of the old town will cool you down on a hot day, as will activities such as sailing, jet-skiing and tubing. Other nautical activities are at your door, including windsurfing, water skiing and diving down to our excellently preserved sea floors.
If you much prefer staying on land, the Reginu Golf Course in Speloncato will win you over as much with the quality of its grounds as with the views of the surrounding landscapes it offers. Walking will allow you to take in the breadth of the area and its ruggedness. This doesn’t mean you have to necessarily try the formidable GR 20 trail. If walking isn’t your scene, then cycling and horse-riding are other means of getting about that won’t leave your feet hurt. And by the way...
Discover the beauty of La Balagne by the sea. Boats leave daily towards the nature reserve of Scandola or the secluded beaches of the only desert region of France, the Agriates.
